the challenge:

to create the visual identity for a local theatre company. what if’s vision is to instill a passion and excitement for theatre in actors of all ages through play and the use of locally written scripts.


the solution:

throughout this process, the client wished for the identity to read different ways. the use of the interrobang allows the name to be read as both a statement and a question. the use of the primary colours of the red and yellow is to indicate the “getting back to theatre basics” and the use of the black shadowing is to indicate the roots of black-box theatre.
